You can not recycle plastic ZipLoc bags in most curbside recycling programs. While they are mainly made of two very common and recyclable plastic resins, HDPE and LDPE, they fall under the category of plastic film. This plastic type rarely gets accepted because it tends to jam recycling machinery.
